Dipak’s primary research interest involves the causes of terrorism, ethnic conflict, and the impact of political instability on national economic development. His expertise has led him to working on experimental economic work for many international governments including Norway, Australia, Sweden, Netherlands, Turkey, and the World Bank. In 2010, Gupta received a Fulbright (Expert) Fellowship at Bilgi University, Istanbul, Turkey.
